How far can it go?

Everybody knows the shows with Dr. Phil and most people watch the shows because they like them. But it isn’t always so funny as it looks like.

Today I read a story of a woman named Shirley Dieu who is a former patient of Dr. Phil. Shirley Dieu is suffering from pos traumatic syndrome. She was sexually harassed, brainwashed and subject to fraud under the doctor his care. Thorough she is mental and physical abused by doctor Phil and members of his staff.

She went to the Superior Court in Los Angeles and filed a lawsuit against the talk show. She claimed that staff blocked her when she tried to escape out of a room and when she attempted to call 911, the phone was disconnected. But that’s not where the allegations end; the suit also accuses the defendants of fraud. They obtained Dieu’s signature on forms by keeping back particular pages of the document.

Now Shirley Dieu is seeking unlimited general damages, punitive damages, exemplary damages and fees and court costs as a result of everything she been trough.

The first thing I thought when I read the article was that it couldn’t be true, but after reading further trough the article my astonishment became bigger and bigger. I really didn’t know that Dr. Phil could let such things happen. I fully agree with the woman that she took further steps to accuse the talk show.

  1. I don't think this is true. Dr Phil can't let this happen because of the different consequences it would have if it was true. What an effect would it be if this was really true? The show would be suspended and millions of people will most probably defend Dr Phil and say that Shirley Dieu is crazy. I think it is a ambush of Shirley to accuse Dr Phil and his team to receive a lot of money and to get a lot of attention of the press.
